Wondering whether true love could survive loss of bladder control, we sent Katie Walsh out to ask:

How important is age in a relationship?

“I really don't think it's important … if you're attracted to someone and you love someone, then age shouldn't be a problem.”

Joe Franciosa, 27, Rochester

“I consider it important to be at the same maturity level … When you're too young you're too immature … so as you approach older ages the age difference becomes less important.”

Cypress Pea, 20, New York City

“I'd say the closer the two are in age, the more they could relate with situations or problems that could occur in the relationship, so I would say the closer the better.”

David Isgro, 40, Rochester

“Age doesn't make a difference to me.”

Sylinda Dunmore, 23, Rochester

“I like a girl to be either older … or my age for the simple fact that if I mess with a young girl, she's ... not too focused on what she wants … ”

Bernard Carr, 23, Rochester

“It's important because of the compatibility level between ages … older folks are more compatible with one another than, say, an older person with a younger person.”

Brad Schaeffer, 38, Rochester
